AMEX ZYNC-approved or not?

I just applied for the Zync card and the web page took forever, it came back saying it couldn't approve in 60 seconds and they will let me know through email. I just checked my email and I have four emails from AMEX, - all the pack selections, anyhow I opened the emails and they explain the the packs and how they work, I looked on the rights side of the email and it says for the "Card ending in "91001". Was this a generic number or does it look like I was approved?

FYI- Fico score watch is at 677 if anyone is interested, AU on three cards. I just got the "APPROVED" email. Is there a way to see what kind of CL there is on it? Can I use the back door number?

i would say your spending limit is around 500-1000

mine was at 1000 when i started but now after my first statement closed its around 1500

and welcome to amex

Thanks for the congrats guys, but does anyone know if I can call AMEX to see what the CCL is? Or do I just have to wait it out?

Welcome to the Amex family. Right now your CL is $250, which can be used for online purchases only until you receive your card. When you receive your card, go ahead & find the spending ability button on your account page. Enter in a amount (don't go crazy) & see how much you’re approved to spend! Mine started at 1,000. After the first statement they up'd it to 2,000. I'll check it again in another 6 months to see if i'm approved for more. So I guess to answer your question, you’ll have to wait a little while.

I just played with the little "check my spending ability" on the AmEx website and I put in a $10,000 purchase and it said I would be approved... I've had the card for 2 statements. My first statment was like $1,100. And my second was $225.

The Zync is like any other charge card... no pre set limit. Just don't go putting $50K on it. I don't know where people are getting this $1,000 stuff from.

I believe we got it from the same place you did champ........ You can & will get denied if you go trying to purchase a big ticket item with this card & don't check your spending ability first. I may be approved to more right now, but the spending ability button is not a toy & therefore i'll wait a while before I check it again.

I would hope one would be approved to spend more than $1 or $2k on a charge card.... And it's not like AmEx is going to do a FR on me or slash my spending ability if I plug $50k in there...

With the Zync card and no CL, how does that affect your CR? Say I charge $500 this month and pay it off, does it show a utilization of %100? or a %0? I guess what I am trying to ask is does one month to the next get a differnt CL reported?

^ As far as I know, charge card doesn't affect your UTIL ratio, can contribute positively to your score if you pay on time and AAoA if it's old enough
