Thanks - I called WFNNB this morning and did speak with a CSR. She was nice, but insisted that they had reported the $0 balance on May 3rd (direct opposite from the CSR from a few weeks ago who said I probably missed the May 3rd reporting since I paid the card off Mat 2nd) and that it wasn't WFNNB's fault that the balance on my credit reports wasn't updated. So now I feel stuck - hopefully the call this morning and the demanding email I just sent, haha, will get them to update quickly!

WFNNB is notorious for not updating CRs when you have a zero balance with them. I remember reading that you could somehow "force" an update by changing your profile/ personal info with them. How does this work? I've searched the posts, but couldn't find this info, but I do remember reading something here about it. Thanks in advance!

I've got 3 WFNNB accounts so I know what you mean! They are always slow to report regardless.

Antime if I ever had a balance (only when on 90 day deferred), the balance reporting would always be from 2-3 previous cycles. And when it got to 0, seems they never corrected to reflect that.

The only way I've got balances corrected is by disputing with the CRAs....usually just disputed with EQ and they all got corrected.

So has anyone ever been successful "forcing" an update like the OP says here by changing info with WFNNB? It works for BOA and I do it all the time, but I don't have time to dispute with WFNNB (30-45 days) so I'm wondering if there are any tricks like that with WFNNB??

Hi MBOhio2,

I am not aware of being able to "push" updated balance info by updating profile info for an WFNNB account (I have done this with BoA, as you note).

I had this same exact problem a couple of months ago - see this thread http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/WFNNB-Express-Fashion-card-not-reporting-0-balance-to-CRAs/m-p/886042#M257900

I paid off my Express card, and noticed that WFNNB did not report the $0 balance right away. I ended up calling and speaking with a CSR to request that my $0 balance be updated to the CRAs, and he told me that it could take 30-60 days. But a couple of days after my call, the $0 balance was reported to the CRAs. So maybe the call helped, you may want to try that route. In any case, it took them about a week longer to report a $0 balance, than it did to report monthly payments.

Good luck!

I decided that I don't trust WFNNB and I need the $0 balance to update ASAP to, as much as I didn't want to, I disputed the balnce with Equifax and hopefully, that will get WFNNB to update with all 3 soon.

I checked today (I use Experian's credit reporting monitoring service where I can refresh every day) and WFNNB finally updated... I'm not sure it's because they're regular update date was just a few days ago or if the update was done in response to the multiple, demanding emails I sent, but WFNNB is now reporting a $0 balance!!
