PSECU Welcome Call

I received a "welcome to the credit union" call from PSECU today. I've never had a bank/CU do that before. Pretty cool. I may do more business with them than I thought since they seem to be a friendly bunch.

Me too. I'm going to deposit money into the checking account. I activated it last week. They deposit 3 cents in my external checking account for verification. They didn't notify me. I assumed when I saw a 3 cents deposit, it had to be PSECU requesting verification.

It's been answered already. They joined PRPS.

You're lucky you got in before they changed their policies. When did you apply? Was it in May or June?

It seems that they are inconsistent. I app'd online on 6/3 and after they got my paperwork, they called and told me I didn't qualify through the Parks m'ship.

Did you mail in the app or fax it? I faxed mine in then called them to confirm.

I faxed it in, but did not call. I waited for them to contact me because I didn't want to rock the boat. Wasn't much help!

In my case, I originally joined through the Parks... But, when my application paperwork arrived, I decided to change that to Arts... This was all done before they made the change to Arts.

My paperwork is on the way back to them and they should receive it today. I am hoping that I will get in "just in time". I have recieved my checks and debit card so far.

If they let me in, I will most likely buy a Certificate for $500 and let it sit. Then, I should not need to worry about inactivity on checking. Yes, $500 is quite a bit to drop with them, but I think worth it. Think of it as a $500 insurance policy!

I have not decided if I will APP for one of their credit options.
