Wish me luck! Just called in to request CLI (haven't done this for lo~ng time) on my Freedom VISA due to the up-coming large charges ... it could be take anywhere 25% - 60% of my CL.

The rep left the increase amount open ... so I will find out the result in next 7-10 business days.

What I am guessing is their answer is "No" since I disputed some charge on my Freedom World MC.

Not sure it is irrelevant or not ~ Oh, well .... it has been done is done ... I just need to cross my fingers ... I hope I can get at least 10k (same my First Tech VISA and my highest CL) ... more is better to bring the util lower ...

I'm crossing my fingers for you. Does Chase have an online option or do you have to always call for a CLI? What is your limit now?

Well, I had a message on my home phone from Chase Lending ... I just called them and she (rep) asked me basic information as usual ... and the answer was big D____. The reason was because I have three ccs with them and total CL is more than my half annual income. So, I asked for the option. It was to shift some CL from one to another ~ Which I chose from Chase MC to one of Freedom that I requested CL on it ... amt of 2k. Then she told me it may takes up to FOURTEEN days to decide. Ha? I guess I have to wait to see how does it end.

My cards info:

Freedom VISA 8.6k

Freedom World MC 9 k

Chase MC 6 k (previously Wa-Mu Platinum without rewards, lowest APR)

So, after adding 2k will be 10.6k ~ and this will be my highest CL ... just 600 more than First Tech (Addison) VISA. It's not that much help but better than nothing if they approve my reqeust.

Then next step is ~ to reduce the util, may be take the BT offer w/NFCU ... and Freedom too, but I don't think they will let me BT from Freedom VISA to Freedom MC ....

You lost me BunnyRabbit. Are you saying your late charges will be 25% or more of $8.6K. That's more than $2,000!? How can that be? And are you asking for a cli because you are maxed out? Please eclarify if you don't mind.

I haven't charge it yet ... it will be charged within the next two wks and estimate of at least 2k and it could be around 5k.

It hasn't maxed out ... just a possibility of brings my util high it depend on how much I need to charge on it.

Hi Bunnyrabbit,

I hope that everything works out for you!

You may want to ask for a temporary APR reduction - I realize it won't help with utilization, but it would at least help lower your interest if you plan to carry the balance for a while.

The result are in ...

They pulled EX report and did not take 14 days for approval.

My CL is now shows +2k more on Freedom VISA and -2k less on Chase MC.

Large charges, not late charges. Has some upcoming large expenses and doesn't want to be near limit.

It was for CLI request on my Freedom VISA .... which was denied

Then, requested to shift the CL from one to another.
