Credit card recommendations?

Hey everyone, Im new here and looking for some new credit, Ive heard of US gold, but Ive also been told to get secured cards?

Any suggestions?

if you are new to credit, i would suggest public secured, or jcpennys. DON'T APPLY FOR CREDIT ONE, or FIRST PRIMER. that is looked as a negative. and they will rip you off. also try for a gas card.

I would try Orchard Bank. They start out low limit, have an app fee and an annual fee, but it is a good builder card. They CLI pretty easily, sometimes automatically. If you get denied, then do a secured card. By the time your secured is ready to graduate the OB inquiry won't matter anyway. You might also consider seeing if someone close to you can add you as an Authorized user.

I know that this thread is dated. But what the heck—this addition won't hurt.

08/02/2012 Credit card shipment confirmed via email
