Is anyone else getting bombarded with Citi Pre-Approved letters

DW has received three pre-approved card offers in the mail within the last 7 days:

Citi Dividend Platinum - she applied, approved instantly 2000+ CL

Diamond Preferred - applied two days after the Dividend card, also approved instantly but lower CL

both with 0% for 18 months, 13.99% after that and no annual fees

Today, when the Dividend card came in there was another envelope with the 3rd preapproved offer.......

Citi Simplicity - also 0% for 18 months with no annual fee.14.99% after 18 months

Can't convince her to app for this one though - says she won't app again until she gets a preapproved offer from somebody else like Chase or Discover.....

Citi CSR apparently was not kidding when he said Citi didn't care how many accounts a person has with them.

Kinda jealous - she's getting prime card offers all of a sudden after being AU on some of my accounts for about 6 months. I'm rebuilding - still getting the offers for 300 cards with outrageous AF's... two so far this week..

Yup. I keep getting them for the card I have, as well as American Airlines card, and the Citi Dividend card. I get at least 2-3 times a WEEK. I also get bombarded twice a week with Discover. Citi and Discover send me mail every single week.

Yep I have two accounts with Citi and I get at least one offer a day... its kinda rediculous.

My parents both have Citi cards and they get about 10 of these letters (each) every week pre approving them for the same card they already have.

I get bombarded with Balance Transfer checks weekly it seems. My wife gets preapproved offers 2-3 times a week. Ridiculous.

Citi likes good customers, for sure. They figure they might as well corner the market before anyone else gets to them.

At least, that's how I see it. I've 3 Citi cards already, and they still send this stuff, almost weekly.

My wife gets 2-3 a weeks too. I was getting them for a while when my score was in the mide 700s.

It seems when your score is in the mid 700s they bombard you with pre-approvals for prime cards all the time unless you opt-out.

I don't believe so unless they've changed their policy recently. Anyone have luck with this?

Yes, I get them quite often and I'm not a current customer nor have I been in the past.

IMO, they're very aggressive and not terribly picky so I don't know what their softing criteria is (my 3 scores bounce around 670 - 700). I wish I would start to see different offers from other CCC's like Discover and Chase (I don't want any of their products but I feel like it might be a better barometer of how I'm doing than these Citi offers).

I don't know about combining limits but they are certainly generous with CLI's if you are a good boy or girl.

I have 2 Citi bank CCs and 3 Citi-backed CCs (Macys, Home Depot, Sears MC) and I've been getting solicitations every week for different cards. It seems like the banks are after new blood now that they seem to be doing better and have money to lend. Also with the interest rates inching higher it makes good business sense for them.

its funny, the few times i get pre approvals, they are stellar offers and ALL of them are visa signature offers. and they dont repeat either. odd. i became a hhonors member, and just 2 months after that i received a preapproval from citi for hilton hhonors visa signature. i have not received any other offers from citi. and it doesn't repeat either. its as if they are trying to be careful around me.

I've been getting a ton of them - I was a former Citi member until they decided to jack my 6.75apr to 21% unless I opted out (closed) my account. I'm tempted to apply for a card with these sweet 0% for 18month and $100 cash bonus offers, but I'm scared they'll just give me a low credit limit.

I applied for the Citi Diamond a couple of months ago but I had to allocate 3500 from my Citi Plat (had a 13k limit) along with the 500 they approved me for so I took it to take advantage of the balance transfer for 21 months.I also have a Citi Dividend card with a 10k limit and according to the csr I talked to through chat, I have the maximum credit limit they can give me according to my income on file which is predicated by the credit card act.
