Convert/Upgrade from AMEX Clear

Is it possible to convert from AMEX Clear to Blue Cash Everyday/Preferred? After reading about the new Blue Cash it seems like they no longer have tiered spending rewards and now have much better cash back than the Clear.

No. I asked them to convert my Amex Blue to Clear and they told me that they couldn't do it. and transferred me to application dept. I don't think they can do it the other way.

Damn. I don't want to do another app but i want the Blue rewards

I'm no sure you can go directly into the Blue Cash Preferred but pretty sure you could PC into something if you have had the card for more than a year.

The only cards that you can't PC into from ANY Amex card is Lowes and Costco. No Charge Card PC into Credit card and Vice Versa but otherwise always a few choices... if you have some choices but not really all that interested, think about picking something close because once you PC into that card then you will have different options from the new card to PC into others.... I have PC 2-3 times to get into what I wanted!!!

I am pretty sure you can PC your Clear card into another product. I had the SPG card and was able to PC to a Blue Cash Everyday. Only had the card for 2.5 months. Just send them a secured mail when you logged in and ask the CSR what are your options.

SO SORRY I stand corrected... Just called in and Clear is not eligible to PC into anything... sigh now that is 3 cards on the list! lol
