Amex Platinum Card Experience

OK,

I just got my plat card from amex and i think great.........now what? So I decide to take my wife to the orchestra to see the christmas show and lo and behold all the tickets were sold out. So I said, well, lets put this $450 fee I dropped to the test. So I called up the concierge service, told them I wanted to score tickets and could they help me out. Rep was very nice, very professional and put me on hold. Came back a couple of minutes later said he was having problems getting the tickets. Then said, let me try one more thing. Less than a minute later came back and told me he had two tickets in the best section in the house. What a way to kick off my first transaction!

Congrats! One day you may very well love Amex as much as I do. Their customer service is first-rate and they really aim to please. I've considered getting a Plat card for a long time.

Wow, that is AWESOME! Can't wait to get one of those at some point down the road.

So THAT'S why I couldn't get any good tickets! j/k

Congrats --that's one of the things that I never think about when I'm looking at AmEx rewards and perks.

That is cool. One of the reasons I WOULD consider his card. Well not this card but one of their cards...lol!! Too bad nothing cool happens here.

Took my kid to see CATS here and there was a pirate scene. Complete with sailing ship. Don't rememebr that from the orginal.

At the end of all his crimes was forced to go ker-flip, ker-flop.

Oh there was joy in Wapping when the news flew through the land;
At Maidenhead and Henley there was dancing on the strand.
Rats were roasted whole at Brentford, and at Victoria Dock,
And a day of celebration was commanded in Bangkok.

Saw it in London and fell in logve with the grey cat, but DW wouldn't let me take home

Yes I understand that but never rememebr seeing that part when I went to see the paly. Actually purchased the DVD of the broadway play from public television because I loved the play so much. Wasn't there either. Then again, I can not remember one song form Mame or Porgie and Bess and that was almost as many years ago.

It depends on how they choose to produce it I guess. In the original it did take place on a boat (and I am amazed I can remeber back that far! )

I listen to Andrew Lloyd Webber on CD's all the time, and it is a matter of pride to me that I somehow didn't break out into a single cut from Evita the entire time that the Argentine floor installers were here. They were too nice to do that to.

LOL!! The weird thing is that the production we saw here was some kind of weird hybrid of what midnight remembers and wht I rememeber....lol!! Started off in a junkyard and got on a ship midway through...lol.

I absolutely do not remember any nautical elements at all. It was all garbage cans and cars without wheels. This is what happens when you are off-off-off-off-off-off-Broadway, a few blocks away from the third largest football stadium in the U.S.
