I have a Citi Forward, and almost 4 months into it I tried to get an increase, I used it as my primary card and came near the limit every month, often times paying early in the month to use it more for the points, they declined me because I haven't been a customer long enough ( 6 months they said )

These sub prime cards with the pathetic CLS blow chunks. That's what I do too, I use it and immediately pay it off in full, because filling the tank on mine puts me over that 10% limit that lenders start to throw up red flags on and label you a credit terrorist - OH MY GOD YOU HAVE A 50 dollar balance on your card!!!! Yeah, I'm just a HUGE threat to default on such an immense amount no question about it I can certainly see why their blood pressure would shoot up enough to cause a stroke over that!

I'm honestly thinking of calling now and just closing the damn thing. I'm sick of that. I mean it got old a long time ago. What good are these cards anyway? In practical terms, day to day use terms? Very damn little is the honest truth. If you want to build your credit, you can do it with these by LIVING the game religiously (and you'll have to in order to keep utilization down), but otherwise they are just a joke.

Capital One, I'm starting to feel like I'd rather not have ya. I'm sure that would make your day too! Your potential liability wil be reduced by 500 bucks, whew, what a relief!

Hi Johnny, I have had Cap one credit ( 2 cards, 1, 1500 cl, the other 750 cl ) for 12 years. Never late, never ol. I just opened with USAA @ 3k cl. They are already offering me auto loans. Cap One has been good only for rebuilding. I guess it is a win win!

I have 2 Capital One Cards - Both were Platinums when I got them. The first was in 2006 or so and had a 600 limit, which last year got bumped to a $5,600 limit, and then I called the backdoor number to ask if I was eligble for any upgrades this year, and got it upgraded to a Venture Card. The other started as a $2000 Card in 2008 or so, and was bumped up to $6000 last year. This card was only eligable for standard rewards, which I declined simply because I've got the other card for rewards.

I recently got approved for a Cap1 Platinum No Hassle Rewards Mastercard about 5 months ago with a $1,000 limit. Just this month I was checking my statement online and they automatically bumped it to $1,500. As soon as I got the card, I used it all the time and paid the balances in full every month. Hopefully they'll increase it again by the end of the year. I think I got lucky.

I just called and got the typical response, but they thanked me for my perfect credit history. My CL is $5050 and they just upgraded me to Venture One card so I guess with no AF I should be happy. No big deal since I have no debt anymore and would have been happy with an increase to $10K. Oh well, maybe in the future.
