WOOHOO...SAKS

After reading several posts about reopening CC's I decided to reopen my Saks account. I originally opened it in Feb of 01 and closed it in 04.

I had to go to the store to reopen the card. They did and put me at the same CL, which was $800. I left out of the store--didn't buy anything because I was mad at the CL. I called CS and explained to them that my credit scores and reports are much better than I originally opened the card and I also make more money now than I did 4 yrs ago, then I asked for a CLI. She asked me what CL did I want and I said $1600 (I didn't want to be greedy), she put me on for about 3 mins and came back and said we were able to increase you to 1600 and it's effective today. Yay!!!

Now my question, since I will be getting the age, which is close to 7 yrs, how will this affect my scores? And... Should I charge something on the card to show some activity?

I am trying to find every possible way to have all of my scores over 700, my highest is at 692.

Congratulations !!!

I recommend that you elebrate with a new lipstick on the Sak's card (ps. might want to think twice if it's their $80 high end lipstick......)

No I am a MAC girl anyway. The Galleria has a MAC counter but I can't get my discount, so that is a no go. I think I will buy a nice bottle of perfume or some really good moisturizer.

Great idea. Thankfully you're a MAC girl. I made the mistake with the $80 lipstick - that's the only reason I know about it. I used every single bit of it and I must say that it was well worth it.

The SO would die if he saw an $80 lipstick purchase! Just curious was it Chanel? And what made the lipstick worth $80? Wow, thanks for the heads up! BTW, I am sure you have the lipstick case framed somewhere right? I would still be using that after paying 80 bucks for even if the lipstick was gone!!

Shiseido high end line and it has collagen in it. Not sure if that really makes a difference unless it is injected into your lips.

Anyway, believe me I used every single last bit of that tube (beautiful tube by the way). I really couldn't justify the expense again until I just so happened to find it in Tokyo for $50. Yes, I bought a 2nd tube but $30 less. I use it for extra special occasions. It has to last until I find myself in Tokyo again.

Oh yeah that is what I can buy a shiseido eyelash curler I had one a couple of yrs ago and I lost it, I think someone stole honestly.

Wow you had to have really loved it to buy it again! But I can't talk the moisturizer I buy is no walk in the park

Yep sure is La Mer, I love it.

Saks is a bad store that is the reason I closed the card in the first place. Although I am a lot more wiser now!

LOL, expensive taste--YES!! Hmmm... Nordstroms. I do not have anything against them I have always gone to Saks. I in Houston and we just got a Nordie's at the Galleria about 3 yrs ago. By that time I was head over heels with Saks and no one else could get my attention-well as far as Dept stores anyway, VS is my first true love.

It all depends on where you live. I used to live in Houston and shop at the Galleria. Great place to shop by the way.

Ha Ha LOL, had to jump in on this conversation! I LOVE my Shisedio eyelash curler - the best! I used to work as a makeup artist for Stila Cosmetics at Nordstrom Mall of America, I miss all the makeup I used to get...and my Nordstrom card!

Now I live in ND and there isn't a MAC counter in the whole state, and I checked! Sad ;(

Yay!! Another girlie girl chimed in. Mall of America, WOW! I would be in shoppers anonymous if I lived anywhere in Minnesota, let alone near the Mall of America.

I don't think I have tried stila yet! Then again as I mentioned I have a PPID card and a 30% off disc on all products, so they get all of my makeup money.

Elexi, have tried going online to buy MAC? It is pretty cool if you already know what you like.

LOL Elixi, I can't believe you don't have a MAC counter. I see as many MAC counters in Chicago as Starbuck's.

Fortunately you can order MAC online.

Yes - it is sad there is no counter here, I miss all of my shopping 'fixes'! But, it is better for my credit cards that I only have Walmart and Kmart in my town!

I've been getting my makeup from Sephora mostly online, and I will def. have to order some Mac online...nothing beats the counter though - when a girl has an urge to get some fake eyelashes for a night on the town! HA! The good ole days... (and I'm only 30!)

Oooh, busywoman I am jealous of Chicago, the Stila girls from Chicago would come visit us and they were always on the cutting edge and so trendy! They have the best shopping there!!
