Worked for me Walmart CLI before 4th statement

Recently I read a post where Walmart was giving out CLI's prior to the 4th statement. Thoght I would press my luck and go for it, my last CLI's was in July for only $100.00. Pressed the button and instant increase of $500! That is the highest CLI they have given me at one time. Tried for JCP but no go, I just received an auto from them last momth

Yes, I figured what the heck, the worst they could say was no so it was worth a try with a soft!

for me, it works 4 months and 1 day from the last time it worked....It doesn't wait for the statement to cut. It's the same on my GAP and Lowes card too, because I did them all on the same day twice now.

I'd say go for it! Nothing to lose...I honestly did not think it would work for me especially since I just got one 2 months ago and usually they ALWAYS, ALWAYS say no if it is beofre the 4th month.

Nice !! I happened to log-in to check that my payment had posted and noticed a auto CLI from 600 to 800 ! I only opened the acct in July !! GEMB seems to be showing love on the wal-mart lines...

Thanks OP for starting this thread... reminded me to request a CLI... My card recently got upgraded to the Discover from the regular store card, and I got that card sometime early July - my credit limit had increased when I got my card from $1625 to $3500 automatically by GEMB - so didnt think about hitting the "luv" button - the last time I had requested a CLI was on my then regular store card and it had gone up by $250.00 sometime early Feb.

I just tried the CLI request and auto CLI from $3.5K to $5.5K!

I just tried the Luv button but NADA..... I opened my account in March with $150 then I received an auto CLI in July from $150 - $800.....

I just hit the luv button on my walmart card yesterday and received a $300 cli and I have been carrying a small balance. I took advantage of the 0% financing offer on a laptop since my other one bit the dust. The balance remaing when I requested the increase was small though. I think it was $105 or so. I just paid that to 0.

Just received this response from GEMB regarding my JCPenny CLI request:

GE MONEY Bank has reviewed your request to increase the credit line on your jcpenny credit card account.

Your account is in good standing. However, our records indicate that your credit line was previously changed within the past three months. Because of this recent change, we are unable to approve your request at this time.

We will be happy to consider your request to increase your credit line further once you establish a 3-moth payment history at your current credit line of $2000. Please contact us at that time and we will re-evaluate the credit line increase request.

Is this the same as the "4th statement" or are they giving increases after 3 months?
