Has anyone requested a CLI with Hooters? And was it difficult or easy??

I've requested one many times, but am shot down every time. I've read others say it was easy though.

I'm not sure if it was any inquiry at all. I think it's a normal account review.

I have requested like 20-25 times hoping they will give in sooner or later and haven't seen any new inquiries on my reports.

I remember reading somewhere on the website that they do monthly reviews of your account for CLI's. It might have actually been on the application. It was a long one.

That's what I thought I read as well. I've only had mine since October but only $1850 CL. I'll wait it out until my scores improve some more and hope for a nice CLI.

Hi busywoman.

I got my Hooters card last October with a crappy $500 limit. They hooked up everyone else but me. Just like how everyone else can get the Amex Delta card but me.

I am hoping for an awesome fantastic CLI. I call and bother them every day in hopes they will finally get tired of telling me no and say yes.

Good evening Patticake,

I started cleaning up my credit on 7/7/07 because I want to buy a condo in April/May 2008. I read, read and read the key threads posted here and started by setting up all of my accounts on line to pay 5 days prior to the due dates.

I disputed a lot of information on my credit reports and had some success.

Fortunately last November I opened a fully secured BOA card and this also helped my tradelines on my cra's. BOA graduated me to unsecured last month.

In October I started to play the UTL game and I have 5 cc's. I am reporting $0 bal on 3 of them and approx 5-7 % on the other 2. I hope that this also helps me this month after all payments post. I had no clue about how important this was but it is working now for me.

I am now working on the balance of my items to dispute/GW and letting everything that I have age for a while.

Hi Fretless

I would recommend using the card and PIF or low utl each month and call them in April/May for a CLI.

I know it is frustrating but be patient and it should pay off in the spring for you.

This is what I was told.

They will review your account every month and you may get smaller increases from that, like $100-200 and it's possible it's more.

You can also call every 6 months for bigger increases.

I got mine with a $5000 limit and called like 2 weeks later just to ask how they do it. She said she could check to see if I'm eligible and said it's a soft inquiry so of course I said sure. Increased $1250. Kills me for 6 months but that's fine.

The only problem is, the inquiry was not soft so someone screwed up and I can't get it changed. Since TU basically ignores you if you tell them an inquiry isn't authorized or shouldn't be there, I can't get rid of it.

I also applied for the Hooters MC too last night after reading the success stories.

I as well got a $500 limit. Maybe they will increase me later.

I just really need to get rid of this card I've had since 6/07. Continential Finance! $12.00 monthly fee and I have NO balance! I'm sure the intrest is just as bad.

I've been "lurking" for the past few months. 1st post!!

I need to cancel my credit repair @ $79.00 a month but it seems to be working!!

I have outstanding

WellsFargo 12K balance opened 6/2004 28K

1st Prem. Visa 300 cl PIF every month opened 6/2007

OB MC 300cl PIF every month opened 6/2007

Cont. Fin. 400 cl 0 balance (100 cli) opened 6/2007

That WAS it untill this week!!

Macys approved but no card yet

Hooters MC 500 cl no card yet

Target Red 200 cl ( LOVE Target)

Texaco approved but no card yet

Is that a good mixture of credit to try for a mortgage 10/2008?

I just logged in online and saw a two hundred dollar increase without calling. I'm going to Hooter's Friday night just because of this increase.......

I just got my card in the mail today!! Along with my Texaco gas card too!!

Maybe they CLI me soon but I am happy with the $500 cl for now.

I'm getting 2 of my $300 cl to zero and cxing them when they are a year old. (6/08)

I actually have 2 1st Premier cc's so double whammy for me on this one. They've served their purpose but I will wait until late spring/early summer to close.

We're on our way to bigger and better cards so we need to get over the sub-prime hurdle. It's a bit painful and costly but we'll make it. Good luck with your Hooter's cc. It's worked well for me thus far.
