Lowe's Inspiration

Hey Guys,

Just applied and received the 7 day message. Called in, answered some questions and was approved. I asked about my credit limit and the rep responded with a whopping $500!!! Are they kidding me? This would be the lowest limit I have. I was ready to just cancel but I figured I had nothing to lose so I asked to speak with their credit department. She transferred me to a credit analyst, I answered a few questions and BAM!! I went from $500 to $10,000 limit. I think that's a pretty significant increase, especially since I don't have any history with Lowe's. They're now starting to grow on me!

I hope this story serves as an inspiration for some. If your initial limit is lower then you think you deserve, don't settle for it. Make a call and request an increase. You have nothing to lose!

Is $500 a default for them? There was another post today I think with someone who was approved for $500 and then got an immediate increase to $4K or $5K.

Probably their computer algorithm having bug, when they first scanned your credti profile? Congratulation on that wonderful come back.

Oh wow, that's fantastic! GEMB definitely grows with you. Congrats! Take advantage of their 5% off when you can!

Does anyone know if $10k is the highest you can get on the Lowes card? I can't remember if I read that here or if I'm possibly thinking of another card.

NO, They would probably go out of business if the highest was 10k... Home Depot goes WAY higher then 10k... Plus then they have the major purchase accont which I believe can go to 50k or more.

$10k is the highest they will go on the Lowes Consumer Card. I verified this several years back.

The Project Card will go to $25k.
