Your Favorite Way to Redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards?

People with Chase Freedom, Sapphire, Sapphire Preferred, etc, what is your favorite way to redeem your ultimate reward? I have always just redeemed using "Pay Yourself Back" whenever I have more than 2000 points. The pain is to find a purchase around $20 though.

I have a Freedom and a Sapphire Preferred, so I transfer all my Freedom UR points to my Sapphire Preferred account, then transfer those to United MileagePlus miles. Makes the points worth more.

I have the chase freedom and just recently received the Chase sapphire preferred. I've always just paid myself back usually on a quarterly basis but will probably transfer all to sapphire preferred then a airline rewards program going forward.

Transfer it to cash into my chase checking, than use that to make a payment, so basicly a statement credit

I have noticed they now have auctions, anyone try those? ie:

As a Chase Freedom® cardmember with Ultimate RewardsSM, you can bid on Ultimate Holiday Auctions now through November 25. Here's how it works:
1. Click on the current auction.
2. Place your bid with the maximum amount of points you're willing to redeem.
3. If you are the top bidder when the auction expires, you win!

These are often horrible deals. Be careful. I saw a post about an iPad2 where the current bid was for 157,000 CO miles. Those are easily worth $1570 at a base of one penny per point. More if you are redeeming for flights. The device only costs $600.

I had a check sent to me -- "pay yourself back" may be more practical, but there is something about receiving a check from your CCC!

We don't have any credit cards with Chase but, for whatever reason, we keep getting notification of Ultimate Rewards on our debit card. I thought the rewards on debit cards was over with but, apparently not. We redeem the rewards for cash deposited into our checking.
