Axed Walmart store card

Waited for the 4th statement to cut, clicked the CLI button, got declined.

My last CLI was only $100, this time I was flat out denied!

The CL was only $1725, so it won't affect my util. too much.

I am confused about why closing an no fee store card, it can only help you IMHO

How long have you had the card? Have you used it much, or has it been dormant? I'm hoping for a CLI after 4th stmt, too. But regardless, I'd SD it and have the free monthly FICO if nothing else.

Generally GEMB is pretty good about those CLIs, so maybe it would be worth a call.

I had the card for four years.

Closing the acct. was easy to do online.

So I guess I have to ask....why close it? Surely not over one declined CLI, the FICO score alone is worth throwing the card in the SD.

The free TU FICO score is a $20 value per month. The Walmart card more than pays for itself. I am going to hold onto mine forever, even though I don't shop at Walmart very often.

I have had the Walmart card for a year and they gave me 1 increase last may of $75. It makes me mad. All my other GEMB cards get increases regularly. And as far as the free TU Score.... Mine is 70 points higher on myfico than on the Walmart free one!!! This card sucks!!!
