If you were applying for a Mortgage or Auto loan they would very likely use FICO scores. Lately though I have seen a lot of CCs where they use a non~FICO score to evaluate your application.

Chase does use VantageScores for some decisions but not exclusively.

But the VS scale goes from 501-990 so I'm not sure what they pulled for you.

From a BK years ago to:
EX - 3/11 pulled by lender- 835, EQ - 2/11-816, TU - 2/11-782

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem".

This is increasingly common. Application scores are scores that are usually derived from FICO or (less likely) Vantage Scores. They are combined with other info that is not included in risk scores. This would be income, and possibly job history, assets and historical banking info at Chase.

Scores are provided when you don't recieve the top tier (best interest rate) offer. If you do then scores may still be provided but they are not required.
