GE Credit Cards

Which Mastercard or Visa cards are offered by GE? I'm familiar with their stores cards - was just approved for a JCPenney card - but I'm not too familiar with non-store cards.

I know Old Navy has a Visa, Walmart has a Discover, American Eagle has a Visa, not sure of any others.

To be honest, I think their MC/VISA are only associated with store cards. For example, Banana Republic and Banana Republic VISA. I don't think they have like a GE Money Bank VISA or MC. I also noticed most of the store cards by them have a VISA equivalent.

If you look for Amex, GE has the Universal Amex or the Dillard's Amex

Paypal MC and the others listed can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

GECRB also issues a store version of PayPal credit "smart connect" which they may counter~offer If you are declined for the MC.

PayPal smart connect is reported to all three CRAs, and it is fairly easy to obtain. Also GECRB gives frequent CLIs with only soft pulls of your CR.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could use my PayPal Smart Connect line at Walmart.com...and that the $500 in gift cards I purchased were set up on a 6-month deferred interest plan! Nice to have when the need arises

Yeah, that's a good point ~ there are many websites that now accept Paypal as method of payment, so you can use SmartConnect at lots of different places. And they seem to have a regular promotional 6 month interest free option as well......

I didn't think about different retailers accepting paypal and that card would work, pretty cool!!

What I do is set the PayPal Line of credit up as the backup payment method for my paypal debit card. Then any transaction over my paypal balance (almost always zero) comes from the paypal smart connect line of credit.

It's an easy way to turn a store card into a mastercard (kinda).

Oh and I get 1% cash back which doesn't hurt either.
