AMEX - spending behavior and CLI

I have been using AME BCE for 5 months now, on the 61th day they increased my CL to 6k and I am planning to get it to 10k in the next couple of the months. I know it's not a guarantee but which of the following two senarios is mostly likely end up with a credit increase? (Not an auto increase. Instead I will call them and ask but don't want to risk a credit pull for nothing)

1. Charge $300 to the card each month and pay it off every month.

2. Charge $3000 to the card each month and pay it off every month.

What was your initial CL?

I don't know the answer, but I have had an AMEX for over 4 years, and spending $450 per month with a few big buys (travel) here and there, and have never had an autu-CLI!! (CL=$12,500)

I do read a lot of success story on here with the AMEX Blue 61 day cli. Then 6 months after. Seems like the limit to not exceed is $25k. After than you might have to sign your organs over to them for further CLI

Initial was 2k, on the 61th day I asked for 3x and they gave me 6k (thanks to people here)

So 25k is the limit without selling my kidney to AMEX?

What was your usage the first 61 days after getting your card?

About $1200 for each of the first two months.

Thats what i have heard

I have 1 month left for me to reach the 61 day limit. My BCE is currently at $4k

SO far I have spent about $1000 on the BCE and pif. The only thing Im unsure is whether I should have a balance when i ask for the CLI or have a 0 balance.

I had a $1000 balanced on my SPG when requesting the CLI at 61 days and it was approved. But YMMV....GL.

If you are at 6k now, I would ask to go to 18k at 6 months from the 61 day mark. You can request right online or through automated phone, you do not need to speak to anyone and they will not HP for CLI. And if you have a purpose to spend 3k a month and can pay it off I would charge 3k. If you want 25k I would assume this is probably your primary card, charge everything and anything you can and continue to PIF and you will be rewarded I bet.

I had a $1000 balanced on my SPG when requesting the CLI at 61 days and it was approved. But YMMV....GL.

Did you get the full 3X with this balance?

Is there a clear correlation between your income and credit line? I remember when I did the first CLI over the phone I needed to key in my income then a few seconds later the automated voice told me it had been approved.

I think there might be but i might be wrong.

Does this mean to reach that magical $25 one needs to make like X amount of $$ or have an DTI lower than Y.

Would be good to hear from the others who have already gone through this. Ray ??
