Congrats! It is a great card. I love mine. I use the rewards mall to maximize my points. Came is handy this x-mas, and I can't wait to transfer to their partners when I am ready to take vacation! Now, if you have Freedom also, you can maximize the bonus spend and then transfer the points to Sapphire, then transfer to the partners! It is truly awesome.

Nice! I dont have a freedom but I do have this sapphire and an Amex plat. I see this as covering United/Hyatt and Delta/Starwood. Works great for me.

Great to know. Im new to the UR points. I think I may end up swipping more than normal. The only thing stopping me would be that it already cut me (not used to metal). My Plat should come tomorrow. Ill post a pic of both if you guys want?

i saw that it was metal a co worker of mine has it and I was amazed by it because I thought only the black amex was like that and then my co worker stated slamming it against a table lol....but I think they make it out of metal because they want you to use it more.

I think so to. Palladium is also, obviously, metal. Its so cool actually owning a metal card. Maybe its me but I like it since its different.

I think the Palladium is actually made of Palladium which is expensive. I think the Palladium card cost $1000 (face value)

I temporarily misplaced mine so I had a new one sent. I found the old one. Tried to cut it up (yes...I knew it was metal), and failed miserably. The thing is indestructible. I tried to bend it and crack it in half. No go. It does scratch a little with swipes though!

IMHO and I mean IMHO...I think the card will be fine. I would be more concern with it getting declined than scratch. Haha.

Oh yeah there was a question asked by someone. I think the best way to not scratch a card is when its sitting in the sock drawer

No clue. You bend it and it goes right back. Feels like a super strong triple layer sheet metal. It has flexibility, but it only bends into an arc and then goes right back into place. Maybe there is some steel component in there. I better call Superman. LOL

Mine came slightly scratched :/ thats one of the ways I knew it was metal. Id say its aluminum but not the coke can aluminum, more or less the strength that macs are made of if I had to guess. Steel would rust on the sides. The other metals seem to be going to far for a card with an AF of 95.
