plan of attack...

Since i got zync and slate i am going into gardening mode for a while. Im going to be transfering my 1st premier to slate and closing 1st premier. In about 6 months or i will try to get a discover, citi or other prime card and close a cap1 card..hopefully this works...any advice would be helpful.

Didn't we just talk about this very same thing in another thread? oh wait that was to apply for another Orchard card... okay...

When you say transfer your 1st premier to Chase but not for 6 months... How much do you owe and at what interest rate and why would you wait 6 months? Isn't 1st premier a fee each month to have the card?

Further more I assume your Best Buy MC has annual fee also, I would close those 2 before Capital One

Just IMO but I don't think it's wise to BT a rebuilder card balance to chase. Considering it is just $350, pay it off with cash then close!

I agree do not transfer $350 to a new $500 chase.

Why pay fees to move such a small balance?

It makes you look suspicious and risky BT'ing a FP balance to a Chase card. I wouldn't do it.

I was thinking to do a bt of fp to cap1 but i can see why to a chase card because its prime...

just spoke with chase they said in a year i can upgrade the slate card to a sapphire or freedom (wonder if i can get the prefered)

and

i guess i am past the rebuilder stage at this point?

From reading the replies, I don't see how it's risky to do a BT from FP to Chase...I doubt Chase will even notice or care as long as payments are made on the Chase.

Second even if there is a BT fee for $350, it's only going to be $10.50 which I believe is much less than the interest/monthly fee from FP for the next 2-3 months

thats what i was thinking as well. plus it is my rebuilder card which is no longer needed since i am getting prime cards now. i still would like to get rid of my cap1 cards and maybe my bestbuy card but i do shop there alot.

u should b putting ur bestbuys purchases on ur zync for the double the warranty and 90 day replacement

What does your slate look like? I cant find a real picture of one anywhere. Is it still vertical?

yea its going to be vertical and no rasied numbers...i see them all the time at work..my work has runied me in credit sense because i see chase, amex, citi and discover cards all the time and the high end ones too..so when i see these cards i think they are easy to get but i find out they are not easy to get at all
