Having trouble with AMEX BCE online application---APPROVED!

Hey guys, I'm applying for the Blue Cash Everyday card, and I'm having a little problem with the onine app.

I went to amex website, looked up BCE, hit apply; and it asked me to either log in to my account or enter my current card number and CID (probably since I have the Zync). I entered my Zync info and it loaded to a new page where it required me to enter the 4 number CID again, on that same page, it also says "Since you're already an American Express Cardmember, we can use some information from your current account... confirm CID to continue. We'll just need to ask you a few additional questions."

So I entered my Zync CID again, then there's a little blue circle appears and keeps spinning around and around and around to indicate the site is either loading or processing my information. BUT it's been like that for over an hour, the little circle just keeps going and no progress at all.

Did anyone have this problem? Is there another link to apply online?

Hmmm, haven't had that problem with the Amex site but it does sound familar to a problem with another website. Turned out to be my browser.

edit: IE was giving me the problems then tried again with Firefox, which did the trick

I've actually had that exact problem happen before, it would just sit there with the blue circle loading and never complete.

If I recall I just entered all of the application manually; AMEX still knew who I was, it just took a little bit longer. And they still declined me....

I was using Chrome, just tried IE. I guess it has to be Firefox then, will give it a try

Good to know I'm not the only one with the spinning circle! How did you get around to enter info manually, pizzadude?

EDIT: Oh snap! AMEX "view all cards" website looks completely different under Firefox! Im entering my info manually

I recall that I logged out, closed out all my browers, then went to AMEX's website but didn't log in. I think there was a way to load a new application without signing in...

I actually contact amex about this before. It is apparently a glitch in their system and they are working on it.

Hey congrats! I had some technical issues too when I was filling out an application yesterday. Don't know why their website is so tempermental

Thanks thanks Another question, which number did you use to ask for backdating? Because I just called customer service and the lady said backdating can't be done, the date will be the date of the approval =(

Not sure, I'm just waiting for the new card to arrive to see if it's already backdated.

If you search the forum, you will find the number you need to call. THere was just a quite long thread on this.

Do you just go by the "cardmember since" date on the card to verify backdating? Or actually pull up your credit reports.

You have to specified to Amex that you want your card backdated. They will send you new cards with new member since backdated
