USAA Platinum MasterCard Approved!

So last night I logged into my USAA account and applied for the Military Afiliate Card but the application could not be processed due to some identity questions not being verifiable.

I called them today because I got an alert of an inquiry on EQ and asked them how I could get an INQ when my application was not processed. She mentioned that the application was sent for review. She comes back and says she needs to resubmit my application but I won't get another INQ since they use the same INQ within 30 days.

After answering a few questions including income I was approved for the Platinum Mastercard with starting limit of $11,800 and 23.9% APR

I asked her what happened to the Military Affliate Card and she said limited members are not eligible for that card and that is why I had trouble with the application.

I told her the card shows up to apply for under my limited membership account...she checked with the underwriter and tried to get it for me but was told it's an error.

Oh well at least I got approved for one card. Here are my stats before applying

EQ FICO 743

EQ INQ 6 (4 in Janauary alone)

6 new credit cards reporting since Decemeber

UTIL 13%

Clean History

6+ years AAoA

Thanks for the compliments! and Ron1 I tried to get the APR reduced but the lady said she has no control over the APR...do you know who I can speak with to get it lowered?

Haha Thanks! I figure since I am on a roll getting approved right and left that I might as well keep the momentum going until I freeze all my reports and go into garden mode

No. I don't. I know the APR and CL is done by the computer. Everything was final. I don't think they can change it. APR doesn't matter to you as long as you pay it in full. I take it the card has some kind of rewards. You're going to like the card. I used mine monthly.

Yea I normally PIF until I have some kind of promo I take advantage of. I really wanted the Military Affiliate card because of the 12 month 0% APR for BT but supposedly it's not available for limited members even though it allows you to apply for it when logged in. The Platinum MC doesn't have any rewards...the lady said the rewards card is only available for full members. Also the Amex one is not available for limited members either.

Congrats on the approval! This is the last card I want to complete my wallet. I guess 3 inq is not a big deal after all. I still plan to garden for 6 months in efforts to raise my score a bit.
