      <title>AmEx slow to give the MR points...</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The promo when I apped for the Zync last October was 10K membership points if approved and after first purchase.&amp;nbsp; I received the card in October and used it the same day.&amp;nbsp; AmEx has applied all points from normal usage but not my 10K points from the offer.&amp;nbsp; I phoned in December and was told they'd be added with next statement.&amp;nbsp; Statement for Jan came and went and now just had Feb statement cut last week.&amp;nbsp; I phoned yesterday and was told that they'd "look into" my request and get back to me in 5 to 7 days.&amp;nbsp; Really?&amp;nbsp; What's the big deal?&amp;nbsp; Initially rep told me that the offer did not apply to me.&amp;nbsp; I was like "ummm, yes it does."&amp;nbsp; He checked again and then retracted that statement.&amp;nbsp; I don't understand why all the funny business.&amp;nbsp; I do my part, as the customer, by paying the bill every month in full.&amp;nbsp; Although I have no plans on using the points anytime soon, why can't AmEx just do their part and give me the points when they're supposed to?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; (Who doesn't like logging into their account and seeing a zillion points!!--I'm over emphasizing but you get my drift.)&amp;nbsp; I try to avoid contacting any of my cc's with frivolous questions simply because I try to keep myself off the radar.&amp;nbsp; I suppose what it boils down to is that I'm peeved that I have to hound AmEx for something that should have been automatically been applied to my account.&amp;nbsp; Clearly MR points are an insignificant issue to take up with AmEx, considering other issues that could go wrong, but given the fact that it is such a minor issue I guess I expected a little more from AmEx.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You are certainly correct! I got my PRG last September, and it took at least 2 billing cycles to see my 50,000 points! Even now, I can see my total, then there is a pending total as well. I guess there is a waiting period for the statement to cut and to make adjustments for returns and such...who knows?? But I do like to see my points!!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You're right.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They should give you those points rather than reasons why you may or may not get them. &amp;nbsp;Have you tried emailing them? &amp;nbsp;I've noticed that sometimes they can be more proactive when your request is in writing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Perhaps it is an instance of YMMV. I recently upgraded from Green to Platinum and the offer was 25000 MR points with first purchase. Made the first purchase and a few days later the points showed up. It wasn't even the end of the billing cycle. They usually state that the points may take 6-8 weeks to credit but clearly that time has elapsed. Try shooting them an email.</description>

      <description>That's weird. I got the same promotion on my zync last June but when July (1st) statement came and went without my bonus points listed I wrote then online and asked why they weren't credited. They wrote back they would credit them and two days later they showed up. hopefully they fix you up soon.</description>
