Hey guys looking to purchase an engagement ring, I have 4500 in savings to put towards it but plan to finance the rest.

Any idea what I may get approved for with the following?

Eq: 632 pulled today.TU 668 pulled 2/8 but some balances haven't reported on there yet so utilization still looks high

Income: 65K

AAOA: 3 years (oldest 6yrs 8 monts)

Baddie: WFNB/Express had a 30 day late in december 2006 Was stupid and young.. argh! Will this fall of in 12/2013 or is it based off the date the account was opened which was 4/05?

Collections: 6 medical

Current accounts:

I just recently applied for jared. Was given 10k. Not sure who they pulled.scores are EQ 663 TU 627. BEefore u apply let the sales person know what n how muvh u r trying to spend imo that helps them get a higher limit granted. Good luck

Yep. Jared and Kays have their own in house financing. They typically require 10 or 20% down. I cant remember the exact number.

Go to the store and pick out a few choices and apply from the store. Kay was one of my first cards opened. You will have better luck in store than an online app.

Jared, Kay, and other stores are known to help with rebuilding but floating someone $15K (on an engagement ring) with collections seems risky.

Can others tell me what their socres were when they applied for a Jared card(or any other jeweler) and who they pulled if you remember.

Based upon what I've read and seeing Jared/Kays accounts listed in people's profiles, 692 seems doable with either lender.

You shouldn't have any issues with Jared's card and limit.

Like posted earlier, tell them what you have in mind and make sure you put down 20% and it will be on one of the special finance plans at zero for X months.

I wonder if I should apply for Blue Nile financing first? their prices are cheaper and was wondering if I should try them first BUT what would that inquiry do to my chances with Jareds? decisions decisions

Unlike bank cards from the big boys (Citi, Chase, etc.), I don't think that Jared really cares about this sort of thing. Basically, they want to sell you some jewelry.

One thing to consider: you want to get a good stone, not just big and/or affordable. There's a lot to diamond-shopping. It can be a serious chunk of change, so you do want to get the best stone for your money.

jared is my highest CL right now. i was getting a promise ring for my gf for christmas and really didnt have a card with a good CL on it since all my MC/Visa's were all at $750 or lower. they gave me $3375 instant but because what i bought they brought it down to $2500
