Recon: How Soon is too soon??

I was just sitting here thinking, how soon is too soon to recon something? I see everyone talk about it all the time. So if you get the 7-10 message on something do you call right away or do you wait to get something in the mail? Just thought i would get everyones opinon.

You don't recon unless and until you are denied. Right now, you're just waiting. Which CC is it?

Oh its not for me lol i went on my app binge last week lol its a chase freedom for my friend she wanted the $300 cash back offer and got the 7-10 message

I'm not familiar w/Chase. If you don't get an answer, you might want to post a new thread w/a subject like "Chase 7 to 10 Day message" or something that indicates you want to know what that means with them and what your friend should do.

I got a denial from Chase Freedom and then called for a recon and it worked! I would wait until the denial (if she was even denied!) before the recon.

Depending on bank or card I would not wait until you get a decision.... If I had a backdoor number I would be calling instantly saying I got further message, wanted to see if I could answer some questions to get that decision now.

Now some banks won't do it until it's approved or declined and some won't until you have the letter from them... but Im going to try anyway until someone says no...wait.
