My story begins with me applying for their mtvu card and them accepting me for 4k, 6 months later they upped it to 5500k, and they also converted it to the forward for me keep in mind both were visa, well last week I asked to be converted to the thank you card and they did, this time I told them to put Amex instead of visa. They are a great company and if it came down to me closing any of my cards citi would be the last one I'd choose.

That's a nice CLI. Did you request it or was it auto? I'm sitting at 4k and would like a bump up once I hit 6 months. Thinking of asking for $6000 but I don't want a HP.

I wish I had the same experience. I have had my Platinum Select Mastercard for just approaching 7 months and they will NOT convert my card to the dividend or forward and I have called them many many times. I PIF always and have never been late.

Card companies prefer customers that revolve their balance. They are preferred on every level over customers that pay in full unless their risk profile turns to the negative,

I agree about liking citi. When I first got my card ,I was a victim of fraud! Someone used it online

but thankfully I monitor my accounts daily and I caught it that day.

I called citi and they immediately closed my account, credited my account for the purchase price, and the next morning I had a new card

in hand that was overnited. Same history, but different account number.

I want to get in with Citi but don;t want to waste an INQ as I may still be blacklisted. Is it a forever type thing with them if you had a very old CO?
