Equifax 650 score...where can i apply?

i just pulled and 40 point increase to 650 from Equifax...

any suggestions? I tred Navy Credit Union, but could not apply. Did not support browser..

How about a local credit union? You might not get the glam CL's, at least not initially, but there's a lot to be said for having a relationship with local people. They're great for car loans, personal loans, HELOC's, you name it.

Many local CU's pull EQ.

Congrats on the new score, Go for JFCU... They will approve you with 650 score. Let me know how it turns out. Consider Penfed also, great CSR.

yup, my credit union Power 1 Cu, pulled Equifax for my car loan but when I tried for CC they pulled Experian 585 my lowest. am in Texas

if you are eligable or are already a member don't go anywhere until you try navy! call and submit your app over the phone, they are happy to help and you will be approved w/a 650 eq. i'm not a member, but have seen scores way lower than your get 5-10k instant approval for multiple products (cc, loc, sig loan, etc). all with the same pull.

barring that, jfcu is almost a gaurunteed 5k (as high as they will go for unsecured product w/o 6 months of jfcu membership).

FYI for any new readers:

Penfed = Pentagon Federal Credit Union (you can be a member or employee of some obvious categories, or you can join the National Military Family Association --don't have to military to join)

JFCU = Justice Federal Credit Union (for employees of various branches of the justice system, or you can join the National Sheriff's Assn.)

Go to their websites, and look for a tab saying "membership" or "how to join" or "about us."

jfcu will get back w/you, i rank thier cs on par w/amex. you will need to send them a copy of your driver's license and a pay stub.

why wait to call navy? i'm pretty sure they are a 24/7 operation, maybe they are closed for the holiday though.

Check out http://whogavemecredit.com for a list that has been compiled of information on people who got cards, including their state, FICO scores, CL, etc. Do take it with a grain of salt because even if you have the same (or higher) score than someone else, it's no guarantee you'll get what they got.

but want to be sure to pull equifax..or transunion

can't affor another experian pull (9) to date

i was declined cuz i opened too many NEW accounts in the pas 12 months.

I have about 7 months of credit history and a score of 634. I got approved for a hooters master card but I don't know what kind of limit yet. Will post in a few days when I find out.

OMG......

just found out approved for JFCU Gold Visa 5000CL

i asked for 4000, but they told me the "the Gold is 5000 minimum" this will be great for my UTL.

i just have to send them sum supportive documentation, etc...

will wait till this card starts reporting and apply for the Navy card...

I am self-employed. Do you know what other form of pay verification they will accept? I have TRs to support income. Spoke with my Mortgage Broker, my D/I ratio is very low, so I can stand to have a card or two for hopefully a quick boost to 700 middle. I really need a card that will pull EQ and will not pull Chex to open a savings (ex wife--grrrr).

not sure byrdman, i'd give them a call. if you do call just ask for yadira. i have found her to be very knowedgable and helpful.
