Amex Delta Platinum companion ticket ... no more ?

I noticed that the companion ticket benefit disappeared from all the advertizement for the Platinum. I've been having this card for 3 years now, happy with it so far..

hey.. I've always got my certificate which easily covers the $150 annual fee (though Amex/delta has slightly changed the rules to limit the type of ticket they give).

The companion ticket was the top benefit which made me get the card. I'm not certain what will happen to current card holders like me, whether Amex/Delta will keep

honoring the benefit at sign-up or not. One sure thing: I will cancel the card if not.

All I could find was this http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/online_reservations/companion_certificates/index.jsp and a flyertalk thread saying the ticket is now deposited into your skymiles account.

Yes, I did get the certificate by email and it was also directly available from skymile account..

Just surprised that the benefit is not in front page anymore... And the AMEX site shows No to "companion travel"..:

I think they mean international companion that is included with platinum. Ive never seen that box checked for any other card.
