Any luck with a CLI on PayPal Smart Connect after 4th statement?

Can anyone share their experiences with a low limit card (500) being bumped on user request after the 4th statement? i think that's the GE requirement for your first CLI RIGHT?

I've had the GE Smart Connect card for just over a year. I started out at $500. My 5th or 6th statement it increased to $800 automatically, and I recently requested a CLI via their phone IVR and got $2800. I hardly use it, it's seen maybe 4 purchases total. I've had the same experience with my Amazon credit line I opened the same day (also GE), started at $900 and is now $2400.

Now if only I could see the same about Discover, I wouldn't have to shop for a new rewards card...

I got PPSC Dec 2010 with $800CL. I asked for increase at Nov 2011, got $2800CL.

My husband has one of these, his limit got dropped to $100 from $500. He'd had about $300 on it, paid it down to $90-ish and they lowered his limit almost immediately. That was 3 years ago now, he's asked for a credit limit increase a couple times now and no luck so far. His credit score was about 730, overall utilization about 37% back when he last tried and was denied. The card has no balance on it now, use it once a month and pay it off as soon as balance posts to keep it active. Might suggest that he tries it again at some point, but, that would probably be a hard pull?

I got an auto cr from 700 to 1400 last month. I have a question. from the posts it seems like you have a physical card. I never got one. it's just virtual for me for PayPal payments. am I missing a card I should have?

i got a physical card with an account number on it, sort of like the amazon card... just a peice of paper.

you can get a paypal debit card and use the amart card as a backup payment essentially linking the debit card to the credit card.

I have had my account for 4 years. I started with a $600 CL. At about the 6 month or so mark, they started a series of CLDs, until I was eventually down to about $160. For two years I was never approved for a CLI, then I started getting $25-$75 increases. About 8 or so months ago, I received a pretty large increase to get me to a CL of $1800. After that my "Request Increase" button disappered, and it is still gone. I have no idea what happened.

I just got a $1000 CLI after having the Smart Connect for 9 months. If you go through their Smart Connect phone number it will ask how much you want to raise it, just give them a really high number like 5000 (I told them 2000) and it will make a counter-offer.

The 4 month increase seems to work fairly well. Mine went from $400 to $500 to $1500 to $3000. Each increase was right around the 4 month mark. I think the luv button online is gone for GE accounts and now requires a call in to the automated system. Luckily, it's still a soft pull and they will counteroffer. I asked to be bumped to $4,000 and they declined but came back with $3,000. Not sure what the ceiling is for the PPSC account.

I typically use the card for small purchases to keep it active and pay in full.
