HSBC Union Plus MC approved

Lately I've been getting the lowly CreditOne, BestBuy, 1st premier offers, However, I recently got a preapproval letter for the UnionPlus MC.

Unlike most of the HSBC cards, this has no AF, 12month 0% APR for purchases/balance transfers and even puts your Union logo and local # on the card.

I promised myself not to app till the end of this year, but I'm carrying a balance on a few cards and wanted to take advantage of their BT offer.

I apped online and was approved for $1500 including the BT's I requested. It looks as if the CapOne takeover of HSBC cards will apply to this card too, according to their website. I'm just hoping their aren't any drastic changes after the transition.

Congratulations! You should have a good experience with this card.

My husband has had this card for three years now and it's his go to card. He almost didn't get it due to a bad experience with a previous HSBC card. Previously, he had a $3,000 limit HSBC card that they decreased to $300 so he cancelled the card. A few months later, he was sent the invitation for this card. Several of his co-workers had it so he gave it a try and has been very happy with it. Started at $1,500 credit limit and in 3 years has auto increased to $8,000 with a 9.9% interest rate.

thanks! I just read your thread on axing yours. I closed my Cap1, but now they lured me back in

Eh, i'm happy with my Cap1 card. No real reason to close it.
