STEPPED OUT OF THE GARDEN...

Yes, I stepped out of the Garden on the last day of the month. Since my DH was approved today for $8,200 on a new Citi Simplicity, I wanted to see if I could get a CLI on my existing Citi Platinum. The CSR couldn't tell me if my CR would be HP or SP...so I just went for it!

My current limit was $4,800. I asked for $15,000 and my new CLI is $10,000. YES! A $5,200 increase!

I did just pull up my Experian report and they did do a HP. Guess that's the price we have to pay sometimes for those lovely CLI's

congrats on the increase.......that HP sux though...I guess it was worth it....

With essentially a 100%+ increase, I'd say it was definitely worth the step out.

The Credit increase takes away all the pain of the HP...I FEEL GREAT, LOL!

Congrats! That's a nice increase, although I don't see why they can't tell you beforehand if it'll be a hard of soft pull.

How old was your Citi account btw?

More than likely it's because it's the computer's choice, LOL! One day those things will be deciding who can and cannot have children. They have wayyyy to much power, LOL!!!

My account is 2 1/2 years old. I did try to get a CLI a little more than a year ago and they gave me nothing. But at the time my UTL was probably 50%

That's a really nice increase!!! Sounds like it was worth the inq. At the very least, you won't have any new account ding or lower your AAoA since it's a CLI and not a new account. Congrats!

Wow, I definitely think that HP was worth it - congrats! That should lower your utilization and that inquiry will lose its effect in no time!
