BoA Secured Credit Card ?????

So I logged into my bank of america credit card account, and notice that I now have the request credit line increase option. It was never there. does that mean my account has been converted to an unsecured account? Also when I select it to see if it would tell me to add money to increase the limit. It gives me the option to input the amount I would like to increase too, and my salary amounts etc.

Any feed back about this would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It probably hasn't unsecured unless you've received your deposit/collateral back. I have a BofA secured as well, mine will be a year right around mid-April. I've had that luv button there for a good while, but I believe the amount requested would need to funded for CLI.

same here i have the secured card as well and that luv button has been sitting there too. if you submit the request for a cli you could burn a hp and they will deny you anyways

If you wanna test the waters, freeze all of your reports then try it, that way no possible way of HP without authorization.

At 11 months I got a letter stating my card was now unsecured and a week later I got check with my deposit

My first CU CC was secured and after 1 year they asked me what I wanted my CL to increase to, lol

I asked that they just leave it at the $500 I secured it with. They released the hold on my secured amount and unsecured card I had.
