Ah! So your EX is in better shape than EQ or TU and you're looking for a prime (ahem!) card that pulls EX. Do I have that right?

BofA may pull EX for your area, but they pulled EQ for DH. And they soft on all 3 - that seems to be a fairly common practice for several of our cards. So no matter who they pull for approval, they still see your other reports on a soft or on a CLI request. DH started at $4K, was popped down to $500 CL within a month after opening. His other cards were at $5K and $10K at the time, and have stayed there (or increased) since that time. BofA remains stubbornly at $500.

And it's the same BofA that has mortgage issues up the wazoo.

But to each their own - I think I like a few cards that some other folks aren't so fond of, as well. Gotta do what works best for you.

Sorry if that was a threadjack.

Guess I overlooked that.

I had feared spending the INQ, so I guess he should wait before taking the 4-8 point dinger.

I was going to say, I remember your case of the 35 cards, and your util not going down anytime soon.

Personally, I'm not digging BoA too much. I have not gotten any auto-luv from them in over 3 years, more than likely since they acquired MBNA.

And their customer service has by far, been the most sub-par I've ever encountered.

As soon as you tell a rep that you don't want to buy any of their insurances, they give you the coldest treatment you could ever receive.

On a side note, OUR utilization was over 80% almost exactly a year ago...

WE should be under 50% by the end of April.

We ARE making progress...

(and a big, fat, hairy credit limit with zero percent BT's would certainly help... )
