I went online to see that my final payment posted to my Barclays B& N MC, and there was a 0% BT offer there! DH had paid them a few days late last year, so they have me at a crazy high APR of 26.24%. I thought they would be too mad to offer me 0%, but not the case.

2 different offers:

0% for 12 months with a 1% fee

0% for 18 months with a 3% fee

The only problem is the astronomical 26.24% would apply after the 0% expires, so I could only transfer what I could for sure have paid off when the promo period expires. Still, I am happy to see that the offer is there and good for transfers that post until 5/31/12.

I think they offered because I applied for other BT cards and BT'd out of them, and paid off the rest. But who knows. Now to figure out what to do.

Wow, that's a good deal!

If you're sure you can pay it off in 12 months, then the 26% is irrelevant making this a great deal.

That's pretty cool ~ definately do the math and see if it is worth it. The 1% fee is nice, would only cost $10 per thousand transferred.

It is going to be worth it. I just have to figure out the amount to do. I can only do what I can have paid off under each scenario. There is a lot I am juggling between my cards and DH's.

Thing is, there is PLENTY of debt not at 0% yet. I am paying AMEX 15.24% on the Pay over Time, but that will shoot my FICO to heck and back by moving it into revolving debt. If I BT 50% of the available credit on Barclays, I would at least not max the card. Gosh there is so much to shuffle. I have to crunch numbers for a while and figure out how much I am willing to sacrifice the FICO's, which will keep me from getting the interest rates reduced on the remaining debt. AARRGH!

I can at least BT Freedoms balance (less than $1000), and clean out the Discover that I am an AU on of DH's ($4200). Both of those moves are basically "FICO effect free" balance shifting moves.
