Anything I want?? Really?

I have a few CC's and none have them have automatically upped my limit...so I figured I had "failed" periodic reviews (despite my perfect payment history). I applied for an AMEX BCE a few days ago and was instantly approved for $12,500 - I thought it was a fluke..

What I really want is a Chase Sapphire. Think I could get it? Should I wait though since I just got the AMEX?

Nice score! Yes, 783 is considered excellent! If it were me (hehe), I would definitely apply for the CSP. How many inquiries do you have and what does your utilization look like? They give a $5000 CL minimum. Congrats again! It's the TU08 FICO.

Ok...please explain what a TU08 credit score is?

So according to that...I'm at 783. According to creditkarma (I don't know how to get the score breakdown from Walmart) I have:

Util: 2%

On time Payments: 100%

AAoA: 3 years, 1 month

Hard Credit Inq: 5 (NOT including where I applied for my AMEX last week)

So..should I try for it? Why's the Chase Sapphire good? I just think it's cool looking...hahaha. Don't they have a min. income req?

It means they pull Transunion, the 2008 version. On here, it's the 1998 version. The Chase Sapphire is good for points and is a great travel card with no foreign transaction fees. I would read the terms and conditions to see if it's the right card for you. They seem to pull TU and/or EX (and sometimes EQ as I was just reading a post today). Which report has 5 inquiries and how recent are they?

Any other score other than FICO is worthless.

TU08 (Walmart provided score) is a real FICO. This model puts more emphasis on your overall utilization of your revolving accounts. For example. if you have high util, your score will be impacted alot on this model.

The FICO you get from here (TU98) does not look at overall util. like TU08. It's an older model that is not used often.

To get a CSP, I would need to know a little more than your score.

-Income?

-Other CC accounts along with their ages

-Any Installment loans?

-Any Baddies?

Its likely Chase will pull EX, how does that file look?

1. 70k-ish

2. My credit score was horrible during college because I used my cards for everything and paid the minimum - my util. was about 85-90%. So I have fairly bad cards. I got all of my cards around that time - so I have low limits. The ONLY card I have applied for in the last 2 years is the AMEX BCE which I just got last week with a $12,500 limit.

1. Discover CL $1750 - 3 years old

2. Citi MTVu (which is being switch to a Forward according to a letter I recieved): $2800 (plus low interest at only 11%) -4 years old

3. Barclay Card with iTunes $2200 - 3 years old

4. Neiman Marcus $400 (Formerly $8000 but I moved away from Neiman and they cut the CL...) - 3 years old

5. Walmart Card $800 - 2 years old

6. Macy's $700 - 3 years old

7. Chase Slate $2000 - 3 years old

8.
