I can officially say I am done applying for credit in a long while. After getting approved last week for the AMEX ZYNC, I decided to apply for the Discover MORE card. Instant approval! I'm not too sure on what my CL is (can always try to call backdoor for an increase), but either way I'm glad to get my foot in the door with Discover. Plus no annual fee!

I have 2 Capital One cards, definitely will close one, if not both once my Discover arrives.

Now I'm just waiting for Wells Fargo to graduate my secured card

Call in and try to get a human. They are good about nice CLI's if you can get someone to look at it and not just go by the computer.

I read before with Discover you have to call within 12-24 hours of approval to get the initla CL reconned.

Congrats! Discover is a great company to work with They give good auto CLI, and will grow with you

Congratulations on your new Discover! I know when you call in to activate your card they ask you if your CL is enough. Even though I resisted, they kept it as is and told me they are conservative compared to others. Please keep us updated!

Can I call them now to see what my CL is and ask for an increase? Or wait until I receive the card ?

Seeing your scores, it gives me hope that I can get approved too. Just wanna give it a few more months since it hasnt been long from my denial

I called in CSR and Backdoor but they couldn't pull my account since it was still new. I checked the app status its showing approved with $1200 CL. Both departments told me to wait 6 months before I can request a CLI. I'll probably just wait it out and build history first and then ask for 3k! Haha
