Well I pulled the trigger last night... got the 7 to 10 days later message, called to recon and this is how the call went:

CSR: I'm sorry to inform you but you weren't approved because of the high amount of recent inq (10)

Me: It was some.. (didnt finish)

CSR: Hold on a minute

Me: Okay!

CSR: you have a total of 24 inq and 4 new accounts in the past 6 months, ill see what I can do..

Mekay ill cross my fingers

CSR: Okay we have approved you, but we will need a copy of your ss card and a proof of address

Me: Sweet, so it's a sure approval?

CSR: Yes congragulations!

Me: thank you!

I sent my info although I kinda didn't want to fax my ss card.. well yay next up Amex BCE

Thanks! No I forgot to ask! Lol I was to happy.. I have to garden now.. He even told me I should stay away from applying anywhere for at least a year which I find pretty funny lol

I'm afraid to apply with 7 inquires showing on EX, 3 in the last 6 months lol.

I applied with 12 inq.... they were all mortgage related.

That's why I got the approval on recon.

Actually, when I tried to recon the CSP(which was ultimately denied) for the 3rd time, the rep said i have too many inquiries. I said, I know I have 7, and 3 in the last year including 1 from my landlore. Thats too many. He told me "yes too many". I figure I wasn't going anywhere with him so I gave up.

@frugal haha I know! I laughed when he told me, I told him it was an addiction!

@swift, Im not sure about the CSP but like I said, I had 24, not a typo, 24 inqs in the last year..

I had 8 inquires and I was instantly approved for a CSP a couple of days ago...

Congrats on the Freedom! I was wondering if there was any particular reason you applied for the Freedom when you have a Discover More already?

I was thinking about applying for a Discover card, but I don't think I would go for the DM since I already have Freedom for cash back.

@frugal, no I have not called, I will call on Monday however, pretty sure it'll be a $500 dollar limit :/ nonetheless itll grow eventually. @eschaton, I applied for chase because they have 1%cashback on anything while my discover which I do love only has .25% for the first $3000 you spend then 1% after, I also got the freedom so if they have a rotating category in groceries and discover doesn't then ill benefit more with a freedom and the other way around when discover has it.. I would definitely get the discover more, it's a great card, still my favorite. @Ls thanks!! No I haven't called, I think I wanna be surprised

Sorry for the late reply but I finally got the card today!! And the limit is only $500 so i hope they're good at increasing limits on their freedom card. Pretty sick looking card I might add.. I also finally cancelled my cap one secured and will cancel my cap one platinum next week no more subprime for me!
