I am super grateful that summerlady80 was able to relay the info that this bank credit card can be acquired without enrolling with a checking account. I believe that HSBC may have secrecly changed their mind about the app. Availability. In any possibility, I am so super grateful that she relayed this information to all of us providing the opportunity that I have waited for, for such a very long time.

anyway i decided it was best i go through the backdoor to speak with an hsbc credit analyst, (one that was well spoken) and ask her the 64k question, when will hsbc retail cards evolve to capone, and she said without any confusion, "oh, that will be may 1st. all hsbc cards will convert to capone." so i said, "ALL HSBC CARDS, INCLUDING THE NON RETAIL ONES?" and she clearly replied right away, "mr. scott that is correct" SO I DECIDED THAT NOW WAS THE TIME TO APPLY.

so now not only am i fullfilling a past long term goal, my card will soon evolve into a Prime Platinum capone product! YES!!! AND NO 3 PULLS EITHER! HA!

this is my FIRST non amex bank cold app since november 2010

NOW capone HAS to treat as if i was a VentureOne cardholder!!!! this card not only is as good as a Venture One card, but is also a Cash Rewards card TOO!!!

NO! even BETTER! this new account will become a CapOne account on may 1st! and i also get a short taste of what it is like to be an prime bank hsbc cardholder. i already have access to my online account. two birds with One stone!

Congrats!!! I don't know which date is the right one to convert to cap1. They sent me a new card and a letter about three weeks ago. They're not going to sell my HSBC Cash Back Platinum MC to Cap1. They just change the issuer name from HSBC Nevada to HSBC USA. The account number stayed the same . I Haven't heard anything about the BB Store card d RZMC Platinum MC yet. They have been delaying the date from Jan - May. Who knows what's going to happen. The CSR probably don't know what happen. Every time you call, you get different answer especially their CSR outsourced to India. They can't help me most of time and they wanted to sell me credit card protection.

Yeah the date is days away yet no one seems to know anything. I wish they flagged accounts, I am curious if my HSBC Platinum MasterCard will stay. I hope it does because the BB cards are going over.

I think all HSBC Platinum Cash Back $5K and up will stay with HSBC. This is my guess. I got a new card and a letter. There's no mention about my card will turn into Cap 1. They just changed the name and the design of the card. The card prefix stayed the same. I didn't see any change when I logged into my account.
