Whenever I try, I get the same answer.. "Capital One is not accepting customer initiated requests at this time." And I've never heard of anyone being approved for one at a request. It's like winning the lottery to get an auto-CLI from them, so I wouldn't count on it. If your card is in the "steps program" that's probably the only increase you'll see.

I agree with LS. The likelihood of them approving a CLI is extremely low. However, they (backdoor number) always let me ask and do a SP while I'm on the phone. And I have a secured card which probably has an even lower % chance than the regular cards. At the 6 month mark, I'm going to call the Senior Escalation Mgrs as LS suggested in another thread to see if I can get a CLI.

Logan-720. Thanks for clearing that up. Your right and I'm wrong. I just looked at my Credit record from 3 years ago and it was a soft pull. I'm sorry for the misleading information to everyone. I'm calling Cap 1 for a cli now. I can't because I'm in the garden, which is considered a timeout for me.. Thanks for bringing that to my attention and everyone else's. It is a Soft pull.
