PSECU application question.......

I'm interested in joining PSECU as I live in PA.

My major concern from reading other's posts here is that I'll be denied possibly due to the length of time at my current employer.

I am a software engineer and have been a consultant for the past 8 years working for a few consulting firms in Pittsburgh and Philly. I have been working at the same client since 2009 and took a position as a full-time employee last November.

So I've been working at the same office for 3 years but for 2 and 1/2 of them I was paid by a consulting firm and the last 6 months as an employee.

My credit isn't perfect as I have a few old paid CO's that are 3+ years old, nothing unresolved or unpaid. No lates in the past 3 years either.

My EX FICO is approx: 686 (lender pull). I have a low DTI but I do have 6 inquiries in the past 12 months.

AAOA is 5.5 years and I have 7 CC's with perfect payment history and 2% util.

I was recently approved for Chase Freedom card for 4k with a recon 2 months ago.

Does anyone think I have a shot at their CC/PSL combo?

Okay, step one down! I just applied online for membership (checking and savings) and was approved!

I have an account number now and I was given a message that within 10 days I will receive a Membeship and Account Signature form that I need to sign and send in.

Does anyone know if I am able to apply for the CC and PSOL combo now? And if so, should I give it some time? i.e. Have a few paychecks direct deposited before applying for any credit lines.

If you have a member number, you should be OK to apply for the Visa/PSL. It's up to you as to how much activity you want to show before you go with the application.

I think I'm going to try and show some activity first, a couple direct paycheck deposits, debit card usage, etc. Maybe give it a shot in a month or so.
