Okay...stupid question

Sorry in advance for the stupid question , could anyone answer the following about freezing reports:

1. Does freezing your report stop your current accounts from updating? Meaning, if I pay all of my balances off in full, will that then update on my reports in the same time as it would have without the freeze?

2. Could I still receive soft pulls for cli?

3. Does it expire or could I set like a time-frame? Meaning, could I say, okay place this in affect from May 12th, 2012 through May 12th, 2013?

freezing reports will not stop accounts from updating. the will still update

you can still get cli's on sp
