So, I have Chase Freedom, which I'm using primarily for 5% on groceries this qtr. I just received an offer in the mail from Chase for $150 cash back when you open a ckg acct. I have read a little about saving more money when you have 2 Chase CCs and a ckg acct., I believe. Could someone share more about that and how it works?

Thanks!

It took only 3 days to receive the bonus after the DD. I made only one direct deposit from my employer since I'm keeping $1500 in the account for six months.

I'm not asking how to get the cash back. I want to know how the combined discount/rebate/etc. works when you use Chase CCs in conjunction w/their ckg. acct.

I thought it required 2 Chase CCs, but if it's only 1, that would be great.

With chase checking and the freedom card, I believe you get 10 points for every purchase (or swipe) plus a 10% bonus on points. So, a regular $10 purchase would get 21 points (10 points for the swipe + 10 points for the $10 spent and 1 extra point for the 10% bonus.)

Now, many people add on the Sapphire Preferred card as a way to combine points. Both Freedom and CSP are "ultimate rewards" cards and your points go into the same pool. With CSP, you can transfer points to FF programs.

This is part of the Chase Exclusives program. Details regarding the Freedom benefit are below:

You will earn 1 base point for each $1 of net purchases. You will earn an additional 1 point for each $1 of eligible airfare net purchases made online through the program booking tool. As a Chase checking customer, you will also earn 1 bonus point for each $10 of net purchases (which equates to 10% of base points earned), and an additional 10 bonus points for each individual net purchase. To participate in this program for checking customers, the primary cardmember must be the sole owner or a joint owner of an open Chase checking account. Customers who do not have an open Chase checking account will automatically be converted together with all unredeemed rewards to the program which does not earn the bonus points described above. You do not earn points on balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like charges such as travelers checks, foreign currency, and money orders, any checks that are used to access your account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your account. There is no maximum number of points that you can accumulate in the program, including points earned for having a Chase checking account. Bonus/Promotional offers may have a maximum accumulation. A service fee of up to $20 per ticket may be charged for the use of our toll-free number to book or change airline itineraries. Redemptions made online do not have a service fee. See Rewards Program Rules and Regulations which will be mailed after your account is established.

Source: https://www.chase.com/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/shared/marketing/page/chase_exclusives_offer

Just ACH push a minimum of $500 each month to meet the DD requirement. You could then use that money to make a payment on your Chase credit card or transfer that money back.

You can also avoid the $12 checking account fee by parking >$1,500 in that Chase checking account.

To clarify, you only need Chase Checking + Freedom to get that 10&10 bonus structure. The purpose of the CSP is so that you can transfer UR points 1:1 to their hotel/airline partners. CSP also gives you 2x on travel and food, so you should use it for anything in those categories over $9.62 (anything under that, Freedom wins).

So, if I transfer $500 a month from another ckg acct/bank to a Chase ckg acct., then there is no mo fee? It says DD, so wouldn't they know a bank trsfr is not a DD?
