I received the pre approval stating my card is ready for me to claim and I just need to call in or app online. I'm just wondering if anyone received a pre approval from them applied only to be declined. The application looks like someone threw up the word pre approval all over but I'm skeptical. I could use a prime card to replace my orchard card but don't really want to waste the inquirer. It's for the Npsl Amex with rewards and no af. Thoughts? my scores in sig are accurate - are they pretty easy to get approved with?

How recent is to recent? I have lates from 2 years ago on my student loans but my credit cards have never been late + I got a six year old repo due to drop off in January. Sounds like it not going to be worth applying. I'd just like to get something to replace my orchard card that'll give me a decent limit

I got one of those pre-approval letters and went online and requested the card. It wasn't an instant approval like all my other cards, it took 7-10 days before they completed

the app and gave me a whopping 3500 cl! I usually keep 0 balances on everything and I have no baddies.

It is my understanding that FNBO does a manual review on all applications. I have never read of anyone getting instant online approval for a new application. Although I do not have one of their cards at present the forum members who do have said their CSR's are great. I have received their preapprovals in the mail, just never responded.

So I received the pre-approved offer in the mail for thier Amex FNB card on Monday 1/14. I was skeptical, but after reading on this forum, I decided to go ahead and apply and see what happens. I applied online and got thier standard "you will receive a decision in 2-4 weeks" notification. The very next morning (Tueday 1/15), I received an email, noting that I have been approved for the card and to expect it in the mail in 7-10 days! By Friday 1/18, I received the card in the mail $4000 CL. Seems like they may have sped up their application process.

Hey OP!

I think you are good to go. Though most pre-approvals mean nothing- I have seen many on this forum get approved via pre-approval with CRs similar to yours. My bro got this card with a pretty decent limit and a relatively high utility. Let us know how it goes. I think it would be a GREAT replacement for rebuilders if you can get in. They are said to be conservative but I think only concerning high limits.
