Gap Application Denied online... Recon a big no

Out of all the GE cards!!! Anyway I'm sure most of you are shocked that I applied for yet another GE Card.

Anyway customer service won't even really talk about... same as always, she kept telling me they have no phone number to transfer to underwriting and that customers can't talk to them... I simply said you are wrong and when I hang up with you I will call this number I have in front of me that connects me direction to underwriting in the states.

Call in, she says it was already manual review and the code on app is a code they can not override... My ears purked right up... Code you say?

So guess I should have wrote them down, they have 3 codes they can override.

I thought my app was auto declined in computer, she said no it pushed to manual and that was declined and for whatever reason it got the code to not look again or talk with me about it.

I asked about why since I had luck with so many GE cards... I asked if that had anything to do with it and if GE had max number of cards allowed considering how many stores they service.

She just said no and said the only thing i can tell you is your score is to low. Well my score from here yesterday was a 655 and also on my denial letter for Barclay CLI was also 655.

I just thanked her... clearly I got 8 other GE cards, 655 is not to low and clearly we have seen many posters on here in the barely over 600 get cards... so blah.

I would bet there is an internal limit for how many GE cards you can get in a set amount of time. WFNNB denied my last two card apps. I have 5 of their cards, which I got when my score was 50 points lower, but now I'm getting declined. I'm just gonna wait a year and then go for another crazy app spree.

No limit on GE cards, since each card represents a different store's interest. I have 5 GE cards right now. I honestly do not see myself getting anymore. I looked at the stores they underwrite and I already have the ones I do any shopping at. Well at least in my area, now if I move this could change

I regret having two Citi cards, 8 would give me agita. I worry about being in a position where cancelling the accounts would hurt too much if the company made a policy change that was annoying.

Really the only way this is good is if you 1. Get the visa or 2. you can't have large authorizations at the pump on your regular credit card like we have been seeing people post lately. After my 90 day promo with the 10 cents off it is now a worthless card when it comes to rewards.
