How Many Amex MR/MRE Points do you Have?

Question for you Amex points folks...

How many Membership Rewards points do you have and what plans do you have with them. When I first obtained my Amex cards I had big plans for utilizing my MR points to the best of their ability. Fastforward to the present date and I now have over 35k MR points but I have no idea as to what I should do with them. Flying really isn't my forte... Any suggestions? What do you do with your points?

205K MR points. Going to use them for flights for a vacation later this year.

I hope not! Threads like these help the community see how useful/useless Amex MR/MRE points are. There is an abundance of Amex threads in which some want to attain an Amex card but there is no sustenance behind their motivation. Maybe this can help make/break the deal for them

Currently there is a "sale" going on in which MR points are valued a little more than regular. I want to know if I should pull the trigger on my favorite steakhouse's gift card now or if there is a better utilization of my MR points at a later date...

How do you use your MR points?

I've been banking them to pay for flights. With the Plat you get 20% back in points when booking thru the Amex site.

On a sidenote it sometimes looks better to me to use some points and some cash. I feel that I'm not using 'as many' points lol. Typically I've used enough to leave less than $100 charge. This way I'm "keeping" 10,000 pts lol for the next trip and getting 20% back of the other points used.
