Freedom Denial Reason???

So I may have jumped the gun on app'ing for this card but, what is done is done!! I was hoping they would pull TU, which they did!

I apped 6/7 and was given a "we need more time for consideration" type message!! Called the backdoor number and they said denied due to having a collection acct!!

EX is the only cra that has a paid collection on it! I am positive that Chase only pulled TU, so how would they even know that I had a collection listed on EX!! I thought that to be very strange!

They may have done another HP on the recon call and pulled EX.....

I have 4 CMS and all show just the TU HP!! If they did pull EX that should have shown by now as an inquiry?

Hmmm, yeah that is strange ~ inquiries almost always show up immediately. Perhaps you can call them again and inquire about what report they pulled. And if you are certain that they only pulled TU then double check it to make sure that a collection didn't recently get added.....

When I applied for the Chase Freedom they pulled both EQ and EX. They were both hard pulls.

When I applied they pulled both TU and Experian. They pulled the same two back in March for my Amazon Visa also.

I also noticed they had a soft inquiry on my experian. So 1 soft and two hard pulls. Perhaps collections show on soft inquiries? I have no idea, but I am pretty sure the HP show almost immediately

Just checked my EX report NO HP from Chase and NO SP!!! So strange!! I also checked my TU and there are 0 collections reported!!

That is very strange. Perhaps call them back. Explain you are not aware of any collections and if they bring up the paid collection on experian (I don't know how long ago it was) act stupid..lol. I read that people call for reconsideration 2 and 3 times. When I called the back door number I called the number for the credit analyist
