GE Walmart CLI limits ??

I received the letter from GE about my CLI request for Walmart. I had $1k and asked for CLI to $2500. The computer countered with $2k (so that's a $1k increase).

What's interesting is the letter I got explaining why they didn't give me more than $2k. It says, "We are not able to assign the credit line you requested because it exceeds the amount of increase our policy allows."

I find this interesting because I've read about massive CLIs w/GE here (like more than a $1k increase). So, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this, or maybe it's because of Walmart and not GE. Any ideas?

Hmmmm. Seems like I have read about increases over $1500 too. Perhaps it was with the Discover version of the Walmart card? Hmmm
