Should I have expected anything different?

Ok guys...heres a familiar love story. NFCU is quite possibly the greatest company ever! (and this is coming from an AF member!) So a little insight....I closed on my house on friday (funded and title recorded on thursday) So i decided, after all the great stories i heard about NFCU i was chomping at the bit to get a card...well I apped on Friday evening for the cash rewards (i double and triple checked my loan was funded and recorded) and got the 3-5 day message....i was bummed to say the least. Especially with all the luck a lot of people were having. So i decided to check again in the morning and called in to inquire...well it wasn't on record yet as i guess the online feature doesn't automatically show up. Well i got ancy and apped for the the nRewards (i know i know) got the 3-5 day message again! Thinking i'm toast since i took 3 HP (one for the opening of the account and 2 for the cards) I resign to waiting another 6 months to app. Lo and Behold Monday afternoon i get a text congratulating me on being approved for BOTH CARDS! I'm ecstatic to say the least. It doesn't have the CL posted yet but i honestly couldn't care less at this point. My TU is going on the freeze list with EQ and im' done for the year.

tl;dr: NFCU is the best, if you are eligable....APPLY!

Navy Fed is awesome... They rarely auto approve, so the 3-5 day message is typical. Its rare that they decline anyone.

I've been real happy with Cashrewards card.

@Webhopper...hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it?! I was ready to beg for mercy that i didn't mean to app for the second one thinking the first never went through. I think i'll just shut up now

by all means, don't feel bad about having two of their cards... I aim to get a second NFCU card later this yr, and open up a NavCheck LOC.

Their cards can be changed to a difference card type at any time, so if you feel like a difference card will fit your needs better, feel free to call them up and request a product change. My husband is carrying Platinum for the low interest and 0 BT fees. I'm carrying cashRewards for the cash back and awesome spending ability.

I could see picking up Flagship rewards later on as my needs and spending habits change.

Just an update, I called the CSR line and checked what the limits were....

nRewards - 1k

Cash Rewards - 14k!!!!!!!!!

My heart literally skipped. The nRewards i didn't mean to do so the fact i got a grand out of it is bitter sweet. But for 15k total, its outstanding!

NFCU has earned a customer for life and i will def be doing some gardening now!

NFCU does rock they have great everything even vehicle loans are super low APR's. I just joined PenFed the other day I'm hopeing to get the same service with them as well I have heard a lot of good things on here about them. Congrats!!!!
