$100,000 Available Credit

Knowing that I have $101, 700 in available credit and cash keeps me happy and healthy. I love my having excellent credit-makes my life easier. No strees and no mess!

You have to be so careful not go in too deep though. You can get in trouble really quickly.

I'm almost there as well. I just started building my portfolio of prime cards in Sept 11. From here on out, I will just seek incremental Cli's. The only other cards on my radar are a Penfed plat cash back, and a home depot card when I purchase my home, but they both are a couple of years away...gardening until then.

Yes - but I will not say how much... It's up there though, over $200,000. Way more than I need for sure!

I just manage it correctly, and only spend what is in the budget. Works great... Just got the new US Bank cash+ card as well as a Chase Southwest Rewards so now it is time for me to call it done and sit in the garden.

Also time to close out some low limit cards - like Discover! LOL... I will cash in my rewards with them and close them first part of next month.

The Discover has no AF so just SD it. I bet if you're willing to take a HP, you would get over the $10K CL

Maybe I will SD that Discover card. They frustrate me to no ends. The two cards I mention above is $37k CL combined and yet, Discover holds me hostage at $2k. I do not want to waist an HP for a CLI with them. The US Bank card will pay the same bills as Discover and Amex and give me 5% instead of 2% and 1% respectivly.

When I applied, they pulled EQ here in Minnesota. At that time, my final payment to USAA MC had not posted to the CB's and the paperwork they sent showed a 752 EQ score.

We do not have a banking account with US Bank, but we will open a savings account to dump the rewards in, then I will move them to Amex savings via USAA.. I think this card is a game changer for a lot of people. You stnad to make quite a bit of rewards with it if you play the game correctly.

May I ask what your CL on the US Bank was?

I was just reading the with the US Bank, you get to choose your 5% category?

They started us at $12k and I am fine with that. I have read they are conservative too... I am sure over time, that CL will increase but that really does not matter. I am just happy to have the card and yes, you get to choose your categories - very cool stuff...

I am reading about it. Since BOA and Penfed dont like me. I'm looking for one last card to add.

I had 6 INQ's when I applied and I was concerned that we would not be approved. But, it took about 3 days and I found out that we had been. I am not sure if anyone gets an instant approval. I called the check status number they list on their website and they were very nice to deal with. So far a very good experience for me.

Let me know what you decide. I think this is a really great card and good luck should you choose to apply. Do not let a 7 day message concern you!

When you say "us" you mean your spouse? are you saying that the $200,000+ credit available you have is from joint accounts?
