Do Credit Reports Show When Your CL Increased?

Hello all,

I was wondering, if I get a credit line increase today on a 4-year-old credit card, will people checking my credit report be able to tell that I haven't had that limit for all four years? Or will it show when the credit line changed?

Any knowledge would be much appreciated!

I think it would only show the new CL .. when I pull up my report it only shows the current limits.

Are you trying to submit a CLI with another bank/creditor and need them to see that you have a high CL?

Actually I was thinking of applying for a CapOne card that seems to include "have a card for at 3+ years with a credit line of at least $5000" as its eligibility criteria. I have a student card I opened four years ago with $900 on it, and I can transfer the CL on another card to raise it to $5000.

Experian shows when the change occurs, the others don't.

Really? How do they do that?

FWIW any report that we can get is sanitized, if EX has that data, I'll wager heavily that both EQ/TU do as well they just don't choose to show it. Also if EX is showing it to us, good bet the lenders can see it too.
